Doing our part to promote and facilitate rugby in Upstate NY.
Referees inside New York State, excluding the Metropolitan NY area, are independent contractors who have formed the New York State Rugby Referees’ Society with the following objectives:
- To encourage and promote the development and growth of rugby referees within our local and regional area;
- To support school, college, and club teams by officiating league, tournament, and social rugby matches, and providing educational and training opportunities to teams as requested;
- To teach, train, coach, and generally assist members to become qualified referees of the sport of rugby;
- To advocate adherence to the Laws of Rugby as outlined by World Rugby;
- To promote The Society as a center of excellence in Rugby refereeing within and outside of New York.
